Anyone have a Ford E350 flarespace installed?

I'm currently building out the interior of my E350 EB passenger van (full windows). I'm 6'1" and wanted to design a bed space that could convert into a sitting area so I can work or have people on a rainy day. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with these flarespaces and if they are worth it. The price is steep but I'm willing to pay if it means I'll be able to share my bed with someone (and a dog) and sleep comfortably width wise. I'm basically trying to design something that will maximize space for sleeping as well as flexibility for storage or a place to sit and work.

FWIW, there's a used SMB for sale with a Flarespace installed on one side, for pics if nothing else.

Looks like they used the bottom of a refrigerator box for the mold… doesn’t look like Flarespace work!

Agreed, that is not a Flarespace product.

That's how SMB describes it in their ad.

Couldn't agree more. That looks awful IMO.

I have them on an RB and they made a world of difference for our use. I’m 6 foot on a good day and this last trip, the wife join me and it worked out well. I sleep towards the front side of the flare, /van at its widest point. I think if you are 6’3” and above it would be too tight. Hope that helps.

This may be an option for you. I went to a weld fab shop and gave them a template of my driverside rear windows. I just installed the small rear one but do not see why you could not have the bigger one cut and made/welded like a car hood scoop. That was my thought at first but as I am going to add a top on my van I will no longer have a full length roof rack. I have decided to leave it flat so I can add E Trac to carry items such Rotopax fuel canisters, traction boards, shovel and maybe hi lift jack. I may still consider having the right side flare out in the future.
