Bilstein B6 Compression Length Specs?
Very specific question that I'm wondering if somebody on this forum might have an answer to. I've searched high and low on the internet without finding an answer.
Does anybody know the maximum compression length of Bilstein B6 shocks? I'm looking at buying a rear axle off of a fellow forum member, but he had the axle shock mounts relocated to a higher orientation on the axle to accommodate his 4" lift. My van has stock height suspension, so the issue that I see is that the shocks would sit at a partially compressed orientation, which could lead them to compress further than normal when the axle articulates over bumps. I currently have 3 1/2" between my rear axle and bump stop, if that helps.
Any thoughts or input? I could obviously have the axle mounts relocated to their stock position, but just wanted to see what others thought about this situation.
