I'm having a hard time how to justify that kind of $ for the gain. Please enlighten me.
It would make a big difference in some layouts.
If you are over 6 feet tall and need a long bed it would save a ton of room in the van with a side to side bed layout.
Yes 1600 is a lot but if you are building from scratch it’s actually not that much in the whole scheme of things. Having well built parts from a reputable company that you know will fit and work well is worth a lot. You couldn’t do it nicer or cheaper yourself unless you were already well equipped and paid your self minimum wage or less.

It is the lowest price flare we offer and just the nature of creating molds for fiberglass and finishing demand this price point. 80" of space side to side is worth it for some and we've had people asking us to make these specific flares for a long time!

I'm 6'2 and cannot sleep sideways. I had to build my bed long ways which sacrifices a lot of room. These are a cool option to be able sleep comfortably and be able to get the most out of a small space. I think they're worth it. Would like to see more pics installed.

Yeah, I know I'm behind on the install. I probably have the hardest possible install since I need to add sheet metal back to the van, but I know I'm not the only one that has those RV style windows.

Currently the van is in Windsor getting some wiring issues cleaned up on the swap and some added functionality as I finally had an opportunity to get it in with the guy that built the harness in the first place. Once we get it back I'm hoping we can knock it out in a weekend, or a couple of week nights. The flare installation part actually looks pretty easy.

If you had a passenger van, I'm pretty sure you could knock out the install in a couple hours even taking your time (minus the adhesive cure time). Cargo van still super doable in a day.

I posted these pictures on another thread but I thought I would share them here as well. These pictures were taken during the dry fit process. The flares at at the body shop being painted and I’m hoping to get them back by Friday of this week for a final install next week

Very cool. More focused at the regular length crowd and not the extended as you wouldn't be able to have your bed all the way rearward in an extended. Looking forward to seeing designs with these though!
