Re: Bounce in Front Suspension
Death wobble.
We were out wheeling our jeeps and my fellow jeeper cracked a rim.. changed the tire and we were on our way with no problem in the dirt/snow. At the end of the day as we got up to speed on the highway headed home he couldn't drive over 45mph, the dreaded DW was plaguing his drive. We pulled over, knowing that we changed that wheel, we moved it to the rear and it fixed the problem.
DW can happen by a bad tire balance, a worn out component in the steering. I see you have installed a drop pitman arm. I bought a "new" MOOG pitman arm from the local Napa, with a quick inspection I realized it was used and worn out. It could be that someone bought a new one installed and returned the old one out of greed. It does happen but often times parts are thought to be new and they aren't.
Another example. When I lifted my van, I got a bad caliper from Moog, it stopped fine and drove straight as an arrow. however the bleed screw was leaking.. So I bought another one and installed it. NOW the van pulls to the right when I brake. HMMMM??? So after checking everything and RE- Bleeding the brakes, I scratched my head in disbelief.. Logic kicks in and I changed the brake pads left side to right side. FIXED the problem it stops straight again... why, I still don't understand.
My point is, just because the parts are new, doesn't mean they are good.
I would start by switching tires from front to rear, because the DW will still be there if the rim is bad. If that doesn't work then try the shocks. Take it to an alignment specialist and have him look over it, pay him to do his job.. Those guys see things we can't see.
Good luck, keep us informed
