Brake job advice

I am looking to upgrade front rotors, pads, brake lines, and shocks. I called Quigley to see what parts reference to replace. They said they rotors were specific and machine to alow the abs sensor to remain. Has anyone changed/ upgraded to a more stock part that is easier to obtain. I am willing to change the rims if needed to do this. Going back through quigley will be time consuming and expensive. There is also the draw back of breaking down/ servicing on the road. Any help would be appreciated.

I think your idea to move to more standard parts is a good one...

Did Quigley offer any suggestions on what your options might be? (other than another special made part)

Re: Brake job advice

I believe that Quigley uses stock F-series axles, so I would guess you should check your year against F-350s with ABS and see if you can find a compatible roter. I'm guessing the ABS comes from the van and was added to the new axle, so I wonder if you could change sensors to the F-series as well and get a better fit.

All speculation, I'm far from a Quigley expert.

Re: Brake job advice

I went with Brakeman and am very happy. There are other similar companies.

If something fails in the field, I was told stock can be added to get me home. I have yet to upgrade my lines to stainless but was told that also was an important factor and should be done. Its another "one of those days" things.
