Circles on top of the pop top with worn gaskets

Hi,

Excuse me if this has been discussed, I am still learning my way around this forum.

I just bought a 2007 e250 sportsmobile. I noticed that there were some circular things on the top of the pop top with aging gaskets.
What is the purpose of the bolts on top of the fiberglass top and should I be concerned about replacing the gaskets?

Does anybody have installation recommendations for racks on top of the fiberglass top?

BK

You need the pop top "T" nuts and gaskets. They hold it all together and bolt the fiberglass to the metal pop top mechanism. They are known to wear out after a while.

For a rack, I like yakima cross bars with "wide body" brackets. It's pretty light and can hold a variety of things. Remember, you have to raise and lower everything on the roof, so you want to keep it light.
