Thanks Rally,
Did it seem as though it should have worked? Was there a problem with the adhesion or was the problem with some binding in the mechanism or some other problem?
I am just trying to get all the info I can before committing to a course of action.

I will let you know once I have weighed the options. Thanks for the offer.

It should have worked, the adhesion to the glass didn't work very well.

FW904RS awning window repair

I read every post I could find on awning window repair due to the hinge epoxy/glue (whatever the stuff is) failing.

A quick thanks:
This site is great. My wife and I shopped for two years and just purchased our first Sportsmobile. This site helped us so much on what to look for and expect in a used van. Thank you all.

There is a kit that can be purchased for around $130.00 that includes the lower glass with the hinge and side guides (already attached). The kit also includes a new set of rollers and pins that attach the lift arms to the side guides.

Remove the old glass and hinge. The hinge takes a little TLC, but once it is rotated up it will come right off. A little WD40 helped when I was removing my hinge.

Next I used side cutters to remove the old pins. My pins were made of aluminum and were easy to remove. My lift arms are steel so cutting the pins this way did not affect the pin hole at all.

I opened the lift arms all the way and placed a rag on top of each one to support the new glass without scratching it.
Rotate the new glass up while holding the hinges together and it will slide up in place. Lower the new glass and let it rest on the rags.

Attach the lift arms to the guides on the new glass with the new pins and rollers by pushing the pin trough and attaching the provided E-clips.

NOTES:
When you install the new pins and rollers try to do it on concrete or lay a blue tarp down. They are held in place by E-clips and if you drop one in gravel it will be hard to find. Make sure the E-clips snap all the way in place.
This took less than ten minutes start to finish.
Kits purchased from Sportsmobile West.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm facing the dreaded "window fell out" problem.

@Sboring35: Sportsmobile West is no longer around. Any idea if the kit is available anywhere else?

Express Pop Out Window Source?

Shopping for popout windows on side barn doors and rear for a possible cargo conversion.
My 6.6 may be too long a lead so looking at alternates. Most of the Cargos on the used market seem to have fixed or none.

Are the PopOuts CR Laurence or some other mfg?
