I removed the paltry stock horn, (which faced downward), with a dualtone loud horn which is now louder than the tire noise! Pulled the grill, then snipped the wires, installed new connectors and was able to use the old mounting bracket. I picked it up at Harbour Freight, but it is available on line as retrofits mostly for motorcycles. It did not require the supplied relay so fit up, really well.
The relay is so that the juice that powers the horn doesn't have to go through your horn switch, which might be a problem with some switches.
Is it high toned? I had a HF loud horn once and it was a much higher pitch than I wanted. That and it got a little water in it and was ruined instantly.
She thinks it could be more on the bass side, but how do ya know when purchasing. It is much louder. Thanks for the tip on the water , I will tip it downward. so far so good on the horn switch powering it.
