I was thinking about the same thing and recently remembered the Emerson Car Cane. After some searching, I found it on Amazon (who would've thunk it?). I was a little concerned it would be too low, but I think it's just right.

Here's a LINK.

Here are some pictures of it in use.

There are unforeseen consequences associated with visiting this Forum, you come across all kinds of projects which you want to adopt as well!
Did'nt actually feel like we needed one, but liked the idea of a grab Handle - so using some of the suggestions from RoamFarNWide and Roamoverland We came up with this:
Used a Poison Spyder head-rest grab handle and slipped that onto a high strength molded polymer carabiner, which hooks perfectly between the passenger seat seat-belt bolt and the slide its mounted to (no mod's - fits snugly between the two). No drilling, rubbing, possible scratches, or rattles because no metal. Handle sticks out just enough to make it very accessible - and perfect height.
I wouldn't have done this if you all didn't chime in - The Wife instructed me pass along her appreciation.

Hey TwoXentrix,

That solution looks pretty good from here. Can you post an inside pic of the biner location. Thanks.

That does look good. My wife has wanted a grab handle there for a while now but I couldn't think of an easy way to do it. That looks like it does the job quite nicely.

It takes a little wiggling to get the carabiner over the bolt - just make sure you put the grab handle on the carabiner first.
Can just barely see the back edge of the carabiner, but its where the two sections of the grab handle come together.
Hope this helps

Thanks, TwoXentrix, that helps a lot. I've already ordered the parts.

That grab handle is for 2012-2016 KTM 350/500's. It's avail from KTM (as shown) or from Enduro Engineering (same exact part, different printing) if anyone is interested......

As always happens, I just stumbled across this as a viable option...Even though I'm very pleased with the one I just installed.
Had I know about it, think I'd probably have given it a try initially. Would/could have used it in the same manner (hooked around the seat-belt bolt)
