Well, Switzerland is definitely not the best overlanding country. Every little forest road is closed to trafic, boondocking is forbidden, wild places are very limited ... By the way, renting vans and campground nights are quite expensive. You better wanna explore other countries in Europe...

As I built my van in the US, I never rented one there. But ask the "Ford E350 - Europe" facebook group's administrator, Philippe Koerblein. He rented a van there for some vacation. I guess there is a company in Durango renting 4x4 vans too.
