Exterior shower turn dial replacement

My 2002 Ford Smb cold side turn dial from my exterior shower broke off the other day. The threading on the dial cracked and a piece broke off. It's the one smb used to install on the van outside.

Where can I find a replacement dial or am I SOL and will need a whole new assembly ?

They have those handles at Lowe's/Home Depot and I'd be willing to bet the inner part that you broke is available too. I think it's common residential stuff, not camper specific, but I also think the whole assembly is just fairly cheap unless it's a different kind than what I had. Here's one that might work, even if you just robbed the innards from it.

Yeah, you can get a whole new setup for under $20...

Nah. I once thought mine was broken, but it was just the black o-ring so I swapped the o-ring from the hot side to the cold side since I only have cold, but I had scoured Amazon for replacement parts.

Hope you get it fixed on the cheap!

We had the same arrangement on our 2001 SMB but the two-handle design was always frustrating so I replaced it with the single-handle style used on newer SMB.
This is a link to that project:
