Are you running tires larger than 315's (35")? I have those and Bushwacker flares and no rubbing.

No, I've got 315s.. and to clarify, the Bushwhackers weren't the problem, the fender was. But once you modify the fender as noted here, the Bushwhackers don't fit properly, as they are too wide at the rear bottom and would cover the door - because the space on the fender is narrower. So in order to open the door, you need to modify the flares as well.

appreciate the clarification. I figured as much, but seems like that was extreme, but I guess in the world of modifying, it make sense that they all vary. ill just chalk it up as luck that mine rubbed on the opposite side and was an easier fix im sure ill have headaches others don't have in other areas as karma, lolol.

Yup. The red van I did the fenders on to start this thread was a Quigley with 285s that rubbed.. but it also had different front springs that were actually taller than normal Quigley.. which then made it rub somehow. Got me!

Fyi a little trick I learned over the summer. If the tire rubs the front bumper add some washers to the bolts to push it further foward. Worked great for me.

My quigley had 35's on it. Currently running 295/70R17's. Like Rally has mentioned you need to trim the bottom which can be seen in this pic, I used 3 screws to make it narrower. Pretty sure he did the same [emoji106]

As far as max that can fit without mods, I just installed 265/75/r16 nankang mudstars and they ever so slightly rub the plastic fender wells in the front. They are 31.7"
