Looks like it may give a little security add some air flow and block some bugs.
Thanks in advance.

I did a search and saw these. They look great and looks like many are happy with them, but I'm hoping for a bit of security should I go hiking or cycling for a while. Of course, nothing will stop a determined thief!

Regarding the OP, I have seen DIY using vents from the blue or orange big box store.
I'm gonna make a set before too long.
The skeater beeters, or similar, are very functional but offer no critter control and that includes those human things walking, staggering, snooping, around the CG's also.

Regis,
I've seen a vid of same on YouTube, but the one I saw had a large gap at the front of the window (channel is too shallow) and reportedly the screen mesh was too large to keep out mosquitoes. I'm sure there's a way to put pieces of smaller mesh screen on top of what is there.
Please let us know if you find something that functions well.
PS - I don't think you can use "in the channel" window visors. May have to that into consideration or use outside ones.
