HOOD LOUVERS!

Hey guys, I was going through some of my old Jeep stuff and I found some aluminum louvers that I never put on! What do you guys think? any down side? any places to avoid on the hood? places you recommend? and yes 99% for looks Whichever ones I don't use ill pass on to the 6.0L guys

Don't just lay them out on the hood, without looking at the corresponding structure underneath the hood. There are some ares that may be better or worse to cut through.

Not the greatest picture I have but...
There are down sides, when it rains my belt squeals as if a cat crawled under the hood, gets dirty quicker, people who see think it's cool but they are driving riced out hondas and they don't really have any cooling effect at speed.
Sure the heat is pumping out when parked and that might be good for longevity of items under there but in cold weather my motor (7.3) takes longer to reach operating temps.
