I want a new faucet

In my '07 SMB, I have the faucet shown. I never liked using it and now is leaks onto the counter, and that ain't fun. I'm looking for a single handle type of faucet that is small enough to fit and function. Don't need the flex hose anymore.

Has anyone seen a high quality unit that would fit? Thanks.

My current one:

Re: I want a new faucet

SMB west now uses a single handle unit and it's pretty nice. You might give Peter a call and find out what and how much. Matter of fact, if you do that, post it here. I'm tired of the two handle design and without hot water we sure don't need two handles.

Re: I want a new faucet

SMB West installed the Pegasus "Mix" kitchen faucet in my 2010 van (photo below). The $145 price at Faucet.com seems reasonable considering the quality of the components and chrome finish. The single handle controls hot and cold water if you connect up that way - or it will work with both sides connected to cold water only, which is the way mine was hooked-up. It has a three foot flex hose, aerating screen, and spray button option.

Re: I want a new faucet

Thanks, Joey. Too bad that pegasus has an 8" reach. I'll wet my pants every time I turn it on. I just spent an hour looking at every faucet made. My sink is smaller than yours and a 5" reach is all I can take.

Hey Jeffrey,
Remember it's not the size of your faucet, it's how you use it.

Make sure you get one that can stand up to hard water...

Re: I want a new faucet

Thanks, all. Hard water is not the main problem. It's finding a unit that will fit and have the features I want. I've been searching ALL faucet dealers, mfg'ers, and RV parts houses, and I have given up. I thought I found one that fit the way I wanted and was the right size, but the base was too large in diameter to fit on the narrow flat area behind my sink. I don't need a new one that bad...

Re: I want a new faucet

Did you check this one? I could not find out what the base diameter is but if the throw is 4-3/4" it "looks" like the base diameter is 2" or less.

Re: I want a new faucet

Jeffrey, keep us up to date on what you end up doing (nothing, replacing or repairing). We have the exact same faucet and it is having the same problem as you described. It is pretty minor right now and not annoying enough to deal with it...yet.

Re: I want a new faucet

Thanks, Charlie. I had set a search limit of $175 for a unit. Damn, now you got me going again!
