Installing AMI Billet Tank Cover
Just added a lockable billet gas tank cover on our rig. The process was very easy, took me 15 minutes to install.
Web: http://www.autoanything.com
Company: AMI
Part #: 6056KL
Cost: $104.95 Free Shipping
How it came
2 Rubber stops: needed to be taken out along with the latches
Cover taken out. Ready for install
Done!
Cheers!
I think it took me longer to post this than installing the actual cover. LOL

That looks great. Is the door easy to open with your finger when unlocked, or do you have to pull on the key when it is in the lock? I don't see a "bump" on the edge of the door to put your finger in to pull on.

Brian,
I use the key to open the door. That may be a pain to some, but that is my way of not forgetting to lock the door. I think the non-locking one has the "bump" to open the door.

Billet fuel Fill Door
Railbat ,
The doors were intentionally left flush , and open very nicely with the turn of the provided key's and a very slight pull and the door is open .
When I first contacted them they were unsure if any of the existing doors would fit our Sportsmobiles , fortunately Buji lives very close and was kind enough to be our man on the spot and was able to get the custom fabrication done for all of us and I think most of the people who have them are happy with them .

Pulling the key aside, can you not lock them?

Billet fuel Fill Door
Jage ,
On mine you have to leave the key in place , fill up and then lock and remove the key . I keep the key on a ring with my rocklight remote in the overhead console and is very handy . Buji's and mine were the first two unit's made and they may allow you to remove the key and close on these later one's .
