Awesome - thanks for all this input folks. I'll likely go with epoxy putty first (one plastic and one wood) - seems like the best way to prevent myself from making a giant mess....

Interior screws falling out

Alan at smb once told me to just use wood glue on any loose screws in the cabinets. Epoxy is bad and does not soak in like wood glue. Use a small syringe to get it in the holes.

I have found that using a good glue, like Gorilla glue on screw threads that go into wood works great. Holds well but easy enough to remove if needed.


For screws that go into metal, I use Locktite red as my first choice. That usually works well. Good luck in trying to remove them though.


I also have used 3M 5200 as it is used as a permanent seal for under water line holes in my boat. This is permanent.



As far as epoxy, it is pretty much permanent also.
