But I have a question: how do you use one of these to change a tire.
You use it with the Lift Mate to get enough clearance to fit your 3-ton bottle jack under the axle. (although personally I would use the stock bottle jack to get enough clearance for the 3-ton)
Hi-Lifts are amazing, but they'd be my last resort to changing a tire on any vehicle.
That's been my view. Clearly they have an off road application but for those of us relegated to the black stuff, the bottle jack and particularly the Tractor Supply version has been the only practical solution that I have seen.
For the price, a Hilift jack is a great investment that might save from a tow or doing more underbody damage in some situations but does not replace a bottle jack. I also carry a jack stand.

I also carry a jack stand. But be careful to make sure they're level. Weight shifting side ways can break them.
I'm also gonna try a ratchet strap, chain or other arrangement to see is I can take the suspension droop out. Then it would allow jacking on the frame, or bumpers if yours are strong enough.
