Kinro window vinyl replacement

Has anyone replaced their window vinyl?

I'm going to order new window vinyl for my Kinro windows that came with the 1994 Dodge SMB that I bought recently. I'm getting water coming through the window because the vinyl has shrunk and there is now a 1/2" to 1" gap where the vinyl along the bottom of the window meets the vertical vinyl at a miter joint.

I'm calling this company tomorrow to place an order, but thought I would see if anyone else has tried this. Couldn't find any posts through searching.

I think my windows are Kinro 8500 series.

Depending on the cost, I might replace all the rubber in the windows since it seems aged and brittle.

This is in preparation for gutting and refinishing the coach interior. I want to address all the water leaks before I invest in refinishing.

Never heard of Kinro, people are always asking where to get the windows, or the type of windows though. Where are you getting the replacements? How did you determine the brand?

If you're stripping the trim you can probably pull out the window itself without too much trouble- I wonder if there will be manufacturer marks in the case.

On my windows, the "Kinro" logo is printed on the interior latch. Their logo is a barely legible script.

I placed my vinyl order yesterday from this (rather chaotic) website:

Which is to say that I called them and placed the order because they only do it over the phone. Which it turns out is great, because the person I spoke to was really helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. He confirmed my van has the series 8500 windows and that replacing the vinyl was a piece of cake. Vinyl was $2.39 a linear foot. Not cheap, but if it stops my windows from leaking: priceless.

Just to clarify, this is to replace the vinyl glazing strip that holds the window pane in and not the seal between window frame and van body. I'll be getting to that eventually, I'm sure.

I'll take photos and report back when I do the install.
