Making the penthouse bed longer

Hey folks,

My smb did not come with the "extender" for the penthouse bed. Seeing that I'm 6'2, I'm a little tall for the upper bed. Whats the best way to make an extension? Does anyone have measurements that I can follow? ( My SMB is down in San Diego being lifted for the next while) Does anyone know where I can get the fabric to make it all match too?

Thanks for the help!

Garage
I'll bet that SMB Fresno can wank up a short extension for you that will match perfectly for not too much $$.

If the cost of shipping the extension it prohibitive, they can sell you the fabric you need to have it finished locally.

Thanks Nick,
Smb just emailed me and said they ran out of that fabric about 10 years ago.... So ive been rummaging around the fabric shops in LA looking for something similar. Nothing so far.

Anyone have a link or a writeup on how I would fabricate this myself? Mostly just the foam and the sewing aspect.

Unless you're really good at sewing, I would think it would be worth the $$ to have an upholstery shop or a good seamstress (?) do it. I bet if you went to an alterations shop, they could do it quickly and for pretty cheap.
