We put down commercial quality carpet tiles in our motorhome, They're tough and relatively inexpensive. Order extra in case you need to replace a tile here and there. They're also easy to fit when installing since you're not handling a single big sheet. We used carpet tape for installation but commercial installers use some sort of glue than allows removal for replacement.

flooring

I have the original SMB installed (15 yrs ago) marine vinyl with their commercial type removable carpet over that. I very seldom remove the 2 carpet pieces. The carpet is easy on the knees and easy to clean using one or the the other of two corn wisk brooms noted below. Depends whether top is up or down which one I use. Good for the front too.

I used something similar in my work van---this was left over material from a retail space rehab so its designed for high traffic areas. I use what's generically known as "pressure sensitive adhesive" like this: https://www.robertsconsolidated.com/...ve-adhesive-2/ Its easy to use over most any substrate, can be applied so it holds the covering in place but allowing for easy removal at a later date.

That's just one brand but certainly not the only one available. Find it at Home Depot et al---should be available in 1 quart packages.

Naturally you don't need a whole gallon--two quarts would do most every van floor. I bought a full gallon container, used maybe 3/8ths of it and 5 years later it was still usable.

Its a product worth looking into I think.

Garage
We too have the original SMB floor with detachable carpet, yet only use the carpet in the winter, when it's cold out. We usually are in some dirty, dusty place, and end up getting all that inside the van.

Hey there, Rob in Aumsville here. Looking for this Stamina product, but can't seem to find it at NW Rubber Products retailers. Can you help point me in the right direction? I was just about to go with the coin flooring but this looks like a better option.
Thanks!

Interesting material. I realize I'm resurrecting an old thread, but did you end up installing the 2tec2 flooring?

How about woven vinyl? Has a padded backing…easy to clean…doesn’t hold sand.

I recently got a sample. Was thinking for my boat, but then saw your thread and thought it could be good in a van too.
