Yup, def an inexpensive, but well put together solution. Like most, it takes a few minutes to grasp the first two leg corners, but once they are done the whole assembly goes up fast.

We used to carry an ez-up with us to the race track. Now we can leave that damn thing at home and attach the bus-depot awning to the van or to the back of the trailer.

this was our old setup - now we may do something altogether different depending on the parking situation.

What is the "misc convenience" mount and where to purchase?

Looks good, can't wait to see how the budget bump works for you.

I'll try and keep this updated - been doing a lot of work lately.

Here's that mount. Haven't tested it out on the road yet, but the soft suction cup as described on Amazon is magic - no problem sticking to the side of the dash and holding a relatively heavy HP Touchpad. I'm not crazy about the tightening rings (small one at the ball-joint and the white one shown in the pics) - they are pretty tough to grip in order to get them clamped down nice and tight.

Can you share the suspension links? Did you end up using the Maxx lift spacers? I'm considering doing the same soon. Thanks for the help.

oh man - total brain fart that I didn't link everything - posted while at work

rear leaf spring helper (I can't comment on how much it helped the rear leaf springs just yet. The guys at Maxx Lift thought it would do enough, but I'm not totally convinced the rear is level with the front... yet): http://maxx-lift.com/products/MAXX-LIFT ... T-LP7.html

fronts 2" leveling kit (the kit is not designed for the e-series. I made it work with the purchase of a new (2) 8" x 3/4"-10 Grade8 bolt and some flanged nuts): http://maxx-lift.com/products/1999-2009 ... G-KIT.html

here are the pics of the process

Do yourself a huge favor and replace those sway bar bushings stat! You'll be amazed how much better the van will drive when the sway bar is actually working. It may not look like much, but the amount of swear in your rubber bushing probably translates into several inches of body roll before the sway bar even starts to work. That extra body roll at the front axle affects steering, so you should find it tracks straighter on the highway.

The MOOG polyurethane bushings are much stiffer than the OE rubber ones, plus they never wear out.

Be carefull when you order. MOOG (and others) also sell a steel-sleeved rubber bushing, which is the same as stock. Parts store catalogs rarely say if its rubber or polyurethane, but they will say if it comes with the steel sleeve. You want the one w/out the sleeve. It should look like this:

Best way to take out the originals is hitting them from the front with an air chisel. I've wasted an hour+ trying to press them out, only to find the air chisel only takes a few seconds each.
