OEM parts-lug nuts/wheel nuts/studs

In my rehab of my 1995 SMB, I have focused on safety issues first. New tires (Michelin LTX, E rated), proper inflation, spring overhaul (and added 2 leafs), alignment, steering component inspection, shock inspection, front and rear sway bars (Helwig), new brakes (Hawk), turned rotors.

Just to finish this out, I'd like to replace the stud bolts and lug nuts. No telling what has happened to them over the last 14 years.

I've searched for a while on the net for OEM replacements online but keep coming up empty.

Before I give up and go to the dealership, does anyone know of an online source? Even the "Ford OEM parts" websites don't seem to have them.

Many thanks.

Tom

http://www.teamfordparts.com

This link was circulated on this site some time ago. It might help.

There's another one for builders on here somewhere too. A search might come up with it.

Re: OEM parts-lug nuts/wheel nuts/studs

Thanks J.

No joy at Team Ford. I ended up calling the dealer and he said there were 3 lugs and 4 lugnuts in Austin that would fit (in Austin...all dealers).

Apparently, soon after my 1994 van was built, Ford converted to metric so no one carries 9/16.

I would have thought they would be laying around everywhere given all the Ford trucks we have.

There are aftermarket lugnuts available. I just don't know which brands are good and which are crap marketed as good.

I'll ask around on the other forums.

Thanks

Tom

Tom,

I think you may need to contact thos folks down in SE Austin that have all the salvage yards..... I bet somewhere there is a bin full of parts. Yes, you never know where they have been or how they have been treated, but I bet they are cheap and you can get enough to find a good set.

Re: OEM parts-lug nuts/wheel nuts/studs

Over the years, I've been able to get wheel studs at various auto part stores. It's been a few years, but might still be an option???
