Parking mirror

Our EB fits in our driveway...barely...as long as the front bumper is within a 1/2" of the garage door. To eliminate the need for a spotter to achieve this, I mounted a convex mirror to the side and above the door:

The mirror lets me watch the Hi-Lift jack mounted on the front of the bumper and stop just short of the garage door.

Re: Parking mirror

It's amazing the things we have to do to own a Sportsmobile.

Re: Parking mirror

When i was in Peru and Thailand i noticed all the Toyota HiAce taxi vans had mirrors like that mounted on the back of the vans so that they could more easily parallel park in tight spots, or back up to a wall, or whatever. I need to do that or mount one like you did.

Re: Parking mirror

I see a spot mirror on your van main mirror. You can never have too much visibility.

I carried a fresh pack of the round ones that twist when I went to pick up the SMB, but those stock 2-piece mirrors did a great job so they never went on. First thing every vehicle gets now. That said, I do have a front, rear, and interior camera which do the job of parking clearance on both ends and watching the cat. I'm now strongly tempted to put a rear camera on all other vehicles I own.
