My guess is that SMB buys the PH top from different f/glass manufacturers and they each have a different mold and different processes. Mine has an "M" molded on the rear of the top. I assume whomever "M" is, they make the thing for SMBTX.
Actually, they changed their 20+ year old molds last year, and the new mold is "ridgeless." One consequence of this is that they can now install roof fans in the Penthouse roof.

Here is a thread that talks about the penthouse and coating it with Poli-Glow - a boat product for fiberglass hulls.
It has been 7 months now and it still shines like new. I need to get up there and clean it and re-coat it to keep it that way.
