Thanks Mike. I would enjoy seeing you again. I'll let you know how the lift goes.

Nice to see things look like they are going to work out. Sounds like a pretty good offer, and likely worth a trip from Vegas to SoCal. Combine it with a before and after off road trip and you have a vacation.

Re: Problem With Camburg

Let us know when you're visiting SoCal. Might make for a great excuse for a SoCal meet and great for a bunch of us. A good way for you to kill time while you're getting the lift installed.

Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is about a 5 min drive from Camburg, where we had our last meet and great would be cool.....They open @ 6am til 9pm. We can bbq, surf, fun in the winter sun, etc.

Re: Problem With Camburg

I'd love to get together with other Sportsmobilers while I'm down in California getting my van lifted. Of course I will be without a van for the two days it's being lifted. I'll be renting a car and doing some hotel-camping during that time. If my wife comes, which she probably will, we'll probably go to Disneyland or something to kill some time. We certainly could meet up with some Sportsmobilers for dinner on one of those nights or plan to a get-together once the van is lifted and do some camping on the back end of the trip. I still don't know when we will be coming but it probably will be in January. I don't know whether one can just grab a spot camping at some beach campground or whether reservations are needed if people want to do an overnight meet-and-greet. Or we could all just end up at a beach for a day. I'm open to any suggestions and would enjoy getting together with other Sportsmobilers!

Mac

P.S.: Cool picture surfgeek33. It would be great to see a bunch of vans like this on the beach again.

Re: Problem With Camburg

I told my wife last night that I was going ahead and having my (her) van lifted by Camburg. She said I was "crazy to trust those guys." I told her Camburg said they "would do anything to make it right" and would install the lift free, saving us about $800. She said she didn't care. She was afraid Camburg would now do a crappy job on the lift. I told her Camburg's reputation was on the line since this post was being discussed on the Forum. I also said a lot of people on the Sportsmobile Forum agreed with me that Camburg would now HAVE do a good job. She said: "So put my opinion on the forum and see who agrees with ME. I don't think you should trust Camburg. It's not worth the free installation. Go somewhere else."

So, I've now put my wife's opinion on the Forum. So, do you agree with her or me?
