Rear Door hinges for E350

Can I swap out my rear door hinges so they open 180 degrees?

My 40% side door opens 180, can I use those hinges on the rear doors?

The doors already can open 180 with the stock hinges , right? Release the door rod and the door will swing to near 180.

^Yup. Just release the "door-check".

The newer doors have a 2-stage door check which doesn't not require releasing anything. Somebody on here looked into swapping that only, but apparently that isn't possible. Newer wrecking yard doors for a white van are probably a dime a dozen.

Took me a while to realize that the rear doors on my Excursion also have a door-check.

Just keep your eye on the door the first time you open it fully without the limiting rod. I cracked a tailight lens with the spare tire.
