Hey guys, do you know if it's possible to remove the bronze factory tint? Is it chemically applied to the glass or is it a film? Just wondering how to remove it.

Pretty sure OEM tint is NOT film, but somehow bonded to the glass or in the glass.

Correct---its cast into the glass before its tempered.

I have the bronze tints. I had thought to try to remove them before I learned that wasn't possible. It turns out, I think they look great. IMHO way cooler than my aftermarket tinted windows on the rest of the van. They don't clash really because they're in the back.
On a related note, my rear pop-outs wobble quite a bit when open. Can I tighten that up somehow? It seems the only points of adjustment are where the latch attaches to the window, and maybe at the top hinges where they meet the window glass. I've tried to snug those up gently but with no real improvement.
Are the hinges suspect here? Is there a fix for this?

I’ve installed probably five sets of pop out windows at this point and I’ve never had any of them wobble like that. Grab the glass and gently try rocking it by hand to see if you can identify where it might be loose. Make sure all the attachment points are tight: the three small screws that attach the bottom pop out hinge to the door metal; and the three button bolts/nuts that go through the glass and attach to the plastic surround frame. Also, check the nuts that secure the window frame to the door (although that’s not likely to be the culprit).

A friend of mine in Philly area has a set to sell, but isn’t interested in shipping. I think he wants $200 for the pair.
