Maybe the owner had it put by the tail light for their parking space at home. At home I can make any location work.

I do have mine in the propane door even though I don't have propane and its located behind the drivers door. If it was mounted in the rear or passenger side, I'm sure I would have drove off many times with it still plugged in. At least I don't forget to unplug cause I see it before climbing in.

I spoke with Peter at SMB a bit today. My SMB has the smaller side door (1 catch vs 2), which is full of propane/tank/gauge/valves.

My water inlet is on the rear of the left side of the van. I don't have any 110v outlets, no inverter.
