Redo my cabinets, walls, etc. with wood colored wall paper
I discovered sometime ago that my wood pattern was not a veneer but merely a paper covering. SMB might use a different product now - I heard they were not using the particle board any longer but that doesn't help me.
On one back wall the pattern was worn totally off by a swinging wire basket and since I am always looking for a new project so I can play with my SMB, I have decided to wall paper the walls, cabinets, etc.
This stuff looks pretty good to me - http://www.designyourwall.com/store/...4-pr-2167.html and comes in many different wood colors. I think I could do the whole thing in a couple of days and if it works, I can change the color out anytime I want.
Has anyone done something like this? I thought about using formica but it would be more difficult and formica contains melamine.
Regards,
Keith

Re: Redo my cabinets, walls, etc. with wood colored wall paper
Never thought about a separate pattern for my back porch. I was going to find something that matched that wall paneling of the 60's and then have a green shag carpet overlay made up.
Now maybe this . . .

Keith

I used http://www.designyourwall.com materials 2 years ago, I went with the metallic (sticky on side) contact paper. Looks and feels very metallic. It's held up quite well. I had a spot scratched by my bicycle and was easily re-applied.
I didn't do everything with contact paper but I did use that realistic looking stainless steel sheets from ALSA.com for the counter tops. You see pics in my gallery of what it looks like.

That link (not wal but wall) is where I am looking. I like your floor! That is one great thing about my SMB - there is no time I couldn't be doing something to it!

Re: Redo my cabinets, walls, etc. with wood colored wall paper
NRL - how did that portable A/C work? Did you put in a permanent hole for the exhaust? I am thinking of a permanent hole thru the floor with a cover of some sort when we don't need the A/C.
Regards,
Keith

Sorry about the thread subject change...
You mean the Amcor? Yes worked really well. What I like about it was it's narrow and I can open the fridge, cabinets drawers a lot more then the other Portable Air Conditions I was testing this last summer. The hole really makes the portable air condition work way better by the way compared to using there window inserts. Cover/Cap for the hole was easy enough to improvise.
I plan on getting another one this summer and will take the old one apart and will try to fit it underneath the fridge or less used cabinets in the back drivers side.
Back on subject, here is a Pic of the metallic wall covering laminate I used on my custom cabinets and regular smb cabinets, the stainless steel faux laminate used on the slide out table, and the faux laminate Allure flooring; and a pic of my (non-faux) pet: Midnight.
Pic of wall covering laminate and also changed out the Trim on the sportsmobile cabinets from grey to chrome:
Here is a pic of the wall covering laminate used on the gaucho underneath door and the flooring:
Here is the actual material I used for the cabinets:
