I took the cabinets in the way out to access mine to get at poorly installed rear bolts/washers on my etop. Took less time than thinking about it and going back and forth with long sticks, hooks, etc....Both sides....and one side included the refrig....Really not that bad...one screw at a time.
Cheers
So it can be done! Just looking at it gives me major anxiety. Guess I’ll give it a shot.

how can the lifting rods get bent on a manual top? The only way I can think of if someone adds significant weight to the top and then re-tensions the lifting springs to compensate for the increased load.
Headed to SMB west in a couple weeks to have the bows replaced. I’m told they can do it in a day, requires removing some cabinets.
It's no secret that I have no respect for the folks at SMBW, but John, who works in the bay, who will hopefully be doing your repair is super nice and does good work. Fingers crossed he's your guy...

Once it's all fixed, go out and enjoy!!
Thanks and yes I’ve heard the stories of the quality of the work they do. Hopefully John will be my guy ! fingers crossed.

Mike - Do you have any photos showing how bad the bow is?
I attempted to straighten trying the HiLift jack method, noticed a bubble/crease in the tubing. I did manage to replace the forward bent bolts with shoulder bolts but was unable to get to the rear bolts (remove upper cabinets). I decided to make the 4 hour drive to Fresno. Peter from SMB quoted me $1200 bucks.
