Yes. The Badgers are the first that talked about it, and when I moved my flatplate inside I replicated. The device is called an accumulator, and I recall it's something like $60-80. Mine fit fine under the sink.

It definitely helps, but is not the end-all be-all. However, after going through a freeze, my pump would pump ALL the time. The accumulator definitely helps that, and it's nice to be able to draw a cup of water without the pump going at all.
