Sliders with a Powered Step all done and way cool

Ok I am back from Utah and visiting with Rock Slide Engineering (the guys at Mount Logan Offroad). I have to say that these Sliders with a Powered step are not only fully functional but also look really nice.
The build quality is top notch, they are well secured to the body with 2 mounting strips and about 14 bolts so no chance they will bend or fall off I think.
They included a switch which lets you disable the slider in case you are somewhere off camber, near a ledge or any other reason you might need to NOT have the step deploy.
Granted I have only had them on for a couple of days buy I like them more and more each time I get in or out of the van.
I put together a demo video and before anyone comments I will go ahead and address the 1 pressing issue....speed. The guys are aware that these are slower than they would like but in order to get a faster (and equally strong) motor it requires a custom batch. So as soon as they see there is enough interest they will order the faster motors and you will get a killer setup.

Nice, same questions... and are they if steel galvanised or just painted/powder coated ?

Ok back from 8 days of 4wding in colorado and I gotta say that even considering these are the first set made I am very very happy.
2 days rain
plenty of mud
a number of water crossings that completely covered them
constant use on both sides every day
use of the cutoff switch a ton
plenty of rocks but no hard core rock sliding yet

They only issue (and Rock Slide knows it) is the motor speed, however the great news is that they can get a faster motor as soon as they know there is enough interest to have a custom batch made.

Cost per my chats with them might be between $2500-$3000 which when compared to the other "power steps" that are NOT sliders is a great deal. of course DE gets nothing out of all this (although I would love to talk them into maybe a cut of the first 100 pair for the non-profit

The are heavy steel with black powder coating that seems like it will hold up well.
I will get some more pics up now that they are dirty & used

Put me down for the faster motor version and make sure they don't make them any shorter. I love that they drop so far- with the Deavers my steps and van are (were) just too tall, and the extensions I put on make the steps great, but will be a mess if I ever encounter a rock.

Hopefully one of your drivers will stand the DE van on a rock by then and we can see the results.

Sorry, stupid question. Is that $2500-3000 price for both driver's side and passenger side?

The price is for the set which is both sides of the rig..
The faster motor will make these perfect...
And if one of our participants doesn't grind these things soon I will have to just make it happen myself as I really want to give these a full test.
SEMA is the first week in Nov and I will find out from the Rock Slide guys if it is ok to scratch them up before hand or if I have to wait till after

The more I use these the more I like them, it makes it easy to get in & out of the rig as an amputee and I am sure SMB will be making these something aval for people getting new builds.
I have run them through water crossings, mud, dust, rain and they just keep on working without a hitch.

Another thing I want to test soon (and get pics/video of) it seeing how a hi lift matches up to them and of course my favorite lifting device the ARB X-jack.

As too custom work like making the passenger side only for the side doors, well I will say that they are a custom shop, of course I can't speak for them but it would be worth a phone call.

Oh and the LED light has been super cool for getting in and out of the rig here in the desert where you might step out onto a rattler or in my case near a rock to trip over

One last function I haven't commented on much since I have the wheelchair lift in the side doors, but for any of you who carry a step stool for getting in & out of the side doors these would be a much cleaner and better solution.

To nice not to. I have tube sliders and they really are to close to be a step.

Is installation recommended to be done by them or can any DIYer mount it up? Do you have any pics of the 2 mounting strips and where the bolts go?
I'm intrigued about them now, thanks.
