I made some picnic table cloth cover holders from 4 inch PVC pipe. I added sticky-back felt on the ends, but most interesting to me was that they fit around my propane tank and take up practically no space for storage!

Another alternative use for my tire step is to use it as my "coffee center." Most tire steps come with only the one step, but I needed extra height to reach my roof rack so I purchased a second tire step, removed the step and attached it to my first tire step, so now I have a two-step model.

Has anybody built a platform on their Baja box drop down door to be able to put stoves to cook on? I decided to remove my gallery box as I want more room on the inside with the doors closed. Thanks.

Aluminess used to make a box like that were the lid served as a cooking platform. I'm sure you could fab something up similar to the ladder mount a few have made. I had thought about adding a plate to the inside of the rear box door that folds down but I just carry a small table instead. Interested on what you come up with.

One of our rear window day/night shade strings failed. It did not turn out to be a broken string but the spot the strings went through the tiny holes in the hold down spool fastened to the bottom window sill broke off. After researching how to do day/night shade repairs, we found that the pull on the tie downs should be around the center of the spool and not just knots through the holes.

We did a modification using 1" X 1/2" angle brackets, 8-32 machine screws, 3 #8 flat washers and 8-32 lock nuts. This corrected the strings' pull to the strong center instead of the weak edge. We were able to use the original hole and screw. Attached are photos of before and the final after.

Going camping a few weeks ago with our granddaughter, I needed to add space for her to sleep. A little plywood, carpet and foam, and she was a happy camper.

I started out by installing some LED bulbs into my reverse lights on my van because it was very hard to see behind it in the mountains at night. The LED bulbs did nothing.

So I installed a set of these:

Mounted them to the sides of the hitch, pointed slightly outward and down. 100% better now. I have a wide angle of view behind the van.

I wired them directly into the power for the reverse light, so when I put the van into reverse, they come on just like the bulbs. I used an inline fuse 3amp:

**Note: Since building this, one thing I would have changed is the AGM batteries I used. I bought two from Sam's Club and they kinda suck. I spent $235 for two, wish I would have spent more, the rest of the system is flawless. IMO
