Mostly just for ease of install, and I wanted to drill as few holes as possible that could potentially leak water in to the van.

Hi Greg, I know I'm resurrecting an old thread here but using your post for inspiration as I replace my solar setup.

I'm curious as to how you mounted the aluminum angle to the panels? And did you drill holes to bolt to the unistrut?

Looks great. I have a pop up top on mine. I have heard horror stories of people mounting thru the top. I am making a custom roof rack to hold my solar panels and more. I am going to have .125 aluminum bent and mount thru side. Hoping to post photos soon.
