You kind of have to have an idea of what you want to tie down for locations.

This seems like the real issue for me right now. Seems like every option opens up a whole new can of worms!! I love it tho! I'm gunna wait and get a feel for what I need. Thanks for all the input.

Jage thanks for taking the time to mock that up.

Maxaccel, I took a look at your interior set up and I've got to say it's genius. nice job. wish I had seen it earlier...

Re: Tie-Down Arrangement

goblue your blue Ford looks very good. Nice color.
Take a look at members tomesd's van. Nice cargo carrying ideas in it too.

If I had a second van I have another original design to scheme on...

The ideas never end...

As far as what I'm trying to tie-down, anything that fits inside if need be. but no....no abducted children, even though my girlfriend is calling this the kidnapper van.
My only suggestion with that arrangement is you have no way to stop anything moving forward in an accident. Take the cooler as an example, only place you could put it and tie it down correctly would be slap bang in the middle of all of them, right over the center anchor, that's a lot of wasted space. Corner anchor points look nice and neat, but are quite useless for anything in this type or situation unless you are using a cargo net or similar.
Jage's layout overcomes a lot of that, and gives you a lot more options. But if you are set on this layout, I'd suggest moving the corner anchors further in, or adding 4 more. Behind the drivers and passengers seat and in front of both rear seats.

Personally I'd flush mount track in the floor, not the large E-track, but the thin stuff, like below.

It would actually match your floor a lot better and would be perfectly recessed. It would open up a whole new set of options and configuration that would look and work so much better. But, it's more expensive and harder to install.

Re: Tie-Down Arrangement

I am going with the flush mounted rails.
Just an other way...
