Trans temp sensor, where to tap in?

Thinking about installing this to get a reading on what my tranny is running for temp.

Where do you all put the temp probe? Tap into the pan or T into the fluid line?
Thanks

How about a ScanGauge instead if your vehicle is OBD capable? The factory trans temp sensor is in the heart of the transmission and very accurate. Added benefit is the other readings you can get as well.

Assuming your have a Ford, there's a sender port on the driver's side near the shift cable.
