Re: What did you do to your SMB today?
Tex, I like it. I'm not a fan of the chrome either.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?
To combat the rattling of our door galley while moving I purchased a replacement blood pressure bladder and inflating bulb. I slide the bladder under the galley once the door is closed and inflate it until the galley lifts slightly up the supports- no more rattles!!

Thanks 86Scotty, I think it will stay black.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?
Changed out two of my fluorescent lights to LED tape from ledwholesalers on Amazon in preparation for camping this weekend. As others, I kept the fixtures and just mounted the LEDs with the adhesive backing inside. Easy upgrade, comparable light with much smaller draw. Will do the other 2 fixtures later.

I built a small sun visor for the scan gauge for better reading when sun is shining on it.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?
Just performed your basic $305 oil change.
Way past time to change out the winter oil for hot summer duty. They had 5W/40 synthetic Valvoline on sale at Napa, I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. Ended up spending more than twice as much for 15/40 Amsoil. Also added a $50 dose of Hot Shot Stiction Eliminator and two Amsoil filters.
Ouch

Not only will you feel better about it, but it will be faster! Wash and wax it and it will really seem fast. Somehow this really works...

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?
I (my mechanic) installed grease fittings on the tail gate swing arm hinges.
They were built with no way to lube them except try to dribble oil into the seam at the top of the hinge. Messy and ineffective. It was getting so it took 2 hands to push the spare tire side. Now they swing with one finger push.
My mechanic tried to talk me out of doing it. Said it would leave shavings inside the hinge. I said it's not like we're tapping into the crank shaft or something - if shavings gouge the inside a bit it's just more channels for grease to flow in.

1der was helping me out on my solar panel install and kept wanting to use centerpunches before drilling holes, and using measuring tapes and everything.
My response was "we're not building a space shuttle, it's just an old van".
