What did I do to my van today? Absolutely nothing. Ten inches of snow fell overnight and it's still coming down. For those of you who aren't familiar with Portland's revered temperate climate, this is epic! Power is going out all over the place, so glad to have lots of good camping cook equipment and a nice warm gas fireplace.
Our fourth snow/ice storm this winter. Darn it! Wish my Agile appointment had been sooner. Might have to don those chains to have some fun. Or maybe I'll just walk down to the park in my snowshoes. Love this stuff.

Ordered 5 new ATX Cornice 195 wheels for the SMB. The old MB wheels were a bit bland.

Jealous! We got about 4 inches last weekend and played in it happily, now it's 65 here. YES 65! I actually thought about rolling down the top on my vert this afternoon.

The hot dog got to sleep in the shop the night all that fell, not on purpose I just happened to be tidying some things up when it started to come down. I must say it was nice not having to scrape the next morning and the 4wd and bfgs broke through the snow without any issues...

Wish it as 65 here. I would be in the van getting lighted headed from contact cement and installing the insulation. Cannot do that when it is 31F.

^ I hate the cold!!!
Noticed that the van was getting hot on long highway speed climbs. It already had a new water pump, fan clutch and thermostat so the radiator was suspect. Additionally the A/C condenser was noticeably occluded from not only bent and mashed fins but small stones wedged in it from 310k miles. So I replaced both the radiator and A/C condenser. I pulled the ends off of the radiator and confirmed my suspicion. there were at least 8 channels blocked by gunk from said high mileage.
Photo is of the A/C condenser which undoubtably restricted airflow to the radiator behind it.

I played in the snow for the first time with my new 4x4 setup. I'm hooked. No question about it.
