Yep, I saw that and will reply.

A little in defense of the old compressor, when I pulled the airline apart from compressor to air tank, the fittings at both ends were corroded inside (obviously not all brass!) and the opening was extremely small. That may explain why the performance gradually degraded over the years.

Swapped out the track bar ball joint. I wasn't having issues necessarily but it was on my list of stuff to do anyway so for 30$ and a Napa tool rental it's done.

I will say that the Napa ball joint tool kit I got was less than ideal. I can't remember the name but I think it's Napas brand.

The quickest way I found to remove them was to just cut the ball joint at the bottom of the ball and use the press directly on it with the receiver cup above it to press it out. The stock Ford ones are so long I couldn't fit the press over the ball joint to even press it out.

Getting the new one in took being creative but if you get the right kit it shouldn't be an issue.

Fabbed a better mount for the sPod. There's not much room to add anything under the hood on a van with a 6.0. The mount is on a hinge so you can swing the source unit up to check the oil or change the fuel filters. The spring at the front holds the the unit firmly down when the hood is shut.

Hi Gooseberry.

That's just what I want.

Does it swing out? Can you post more pictures?

Cheers Doug

It does not swing out and not sure I would want it to off-road. I going to make a new handle for the jack so I push down on it and not push up under the spare tire.

This is what I have.

Why is that, lots of wiggling going on? I was looking into one of these but not sure how it would handle bumpy trails.

I use this one off-road with a couple tie downs off each corner. I was saying a swingout with this might not be a good idea.
