Spent 15 minutes swapping a salvage yard 2008 barn door wire harness and speaker into my 2006 door. Spent the next hour finding out that the 2008 harness is wired completely different and re-pinning the connectors in the B-pillar.
2 connectors in the B-pillar for the door and every single wire had switch positions with 4 wires changing from one connector to another.

I just de-winterized the water system. The Beckson plate made it much easier.
Now getting ready for the first outing of the season.

installed some 1/8" uhmw plastic on the penthouse bed rails

and some Mac's aluminum versa track on the underside

and then created some custom conduit braces to support the penthouse rails near the mid-point

our rails were very "flexible" when being used and the rail had a slight smile shape (low point in the middle)...~1/2" drop with no weight on it. now there is very little flex and ~1/8" drop.

if needed, these are easily removed by undoing the wing nuts.
Each end can support a lot more than two people sleeping up top.

Nice!! This is something I'm looking to do here soon. Did you just use an extra PS grab handle, cut holes in the A-pillar trim, and use rivnuts or something in the A-pillar?

Thats exactly right. You’ll need the passenger side bracket too. It goes upside down compared to the way it sits on the pass. side. It sits a little lower too. It’s necessary because of where the spring clip that holds the trim piece on is. I don’t see being lower as a bad thing either. Since it keeps the handle from blocking your forward vision. I used a spade bit and a dremel to shape the trim. You have to notch out the ribs on the back side of the trim a little. The factory nuts are m6.

Thanks! This helps a lot! I actually went to the JY today and grabbed a PS handle and bracket. It may sit for a bit, as I'm trying to finish up the floor and custom seating first, but hopefully soon. I've been anxious to try out my new rivnut gun!
