Concerned, I replaced it, let it set for about 1/2 hour to fully arm itself and then sprayed a small section on the carpet again - sure enough it went off. The old one had 7-2017 stamped on the back, little concerning it never sounded off to let me know it needed replacing - consider yourself forewarned.

1. I'm not sure which is worse. Not getting the end-of-life alert, or getting the end-of-life alert at 3:00am...which somehow always happens.

2. Amazon has these on sale right now for anyone who needs one - not a Prime Day only deal. 30% off on black and 20% off on white.

Reconditioned exterior plastic trim w linseed oil

Didn't want to buy a bunch of chemicals that will end up down the gutter. Today used boiled linseed oil and paint thinner (a necessary evil, apparently, but i already had it on hand) to bring the color and lustre back to my black and grey exterior trim. Didn't get a very good pic and didn't have as much time as I would have liked but looks good. Next up : wheels and wheel wells redo.

B/A linseed treatment

Hard to see in these pics but I'm very happy with the result.

Our van doesn't have propane (we cook outside). Any reason not to just go with one of these instead? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086S4L4Q6

My van only has a carbon monoxide detector from SMB with a no propane build.

Duly noted. This was on my list but I think I'll move it up in priority.

Procrastinating came to an end - my 2hr Job accomplished today; sprayed my undercarriage with WD-40 Corrosion Inhibitor (6 can project, aaaaand 2 Corona lights)
***This stuff works great! been using it for about 6yrs now and the second picture shows how well it maintains the look underneath & its actual effectiveness...a 2006 Van with NO rust - not even any surface rust!
