Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Made a temp bed frame {kinda like it might keep it} so I can go catch some Stealhead next weekend on the Salmon River. I had to make the frame bigger for a bench to sit on other wise my head hits the roof. Pop top coming soon. Also ran Power to the inverter from the Deep Cycle Battery so I will have power in side.
That little inverter does a great job

I sure could use some cabinets and yes if I keep this bed frame I will make it look very nice. Lovin the storage space under there.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Started the rusty raingutter renovation project:

I hope I'm doing this right: sanded dry with 400 grit, sanded wet with 400 grit, washed everything.

Then masked everything (blue tape and garbage bags -- yeah!), sprayed two coats of rusty metal primer, and then two coats of Dupli-color....hmmm, not quite the same color despite the code, but fortunately it's the raingutters and neither the color nor my iffy technique will show.

Removed all the masking, and am letting it cure for a few days. Then I guess I'll hit it with rubbing compound to smooth the edges (tape edges) and then spray clearcoat.

Right?

And then mount my Yakima rack!

Finally got the "new", to me, rig home and had some new rims and tires added. I am stoked to finally be a Sporty owner!

Looking good! I want black wheels!

Yesterday, replaced both starting batteries since one had a bad cell. They were the original ones, not bad for 6 years.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Today installed the Rear bumper. Its a used Road Armour, but i feel like I did ok for $600. I had to do a little fab work to lower it a bit but it fits perfect now.
Almost for got installed the third power chip this one seems to be working. we will see.
