Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

After trying the Toyo 285 75 16 which I loved I decided to go smaller. They were just to big for my 5.8 gas motor and transmission.
I went with BFG 265 75 16 "D" rated and polished rims. Wow what a difference. The trany shifts like a new one and the motor feels like it should. Im very happy with that part of it.
It's just going to take awhile to get used to the look after the Black rims and big tires.

Just don't admit it made the steps too high, and that was the real reason!

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Replaced the original '98 dog house console with a new one. Nice that it was just a 30 dollar Ebay click and the thing went right on.. WAY MORE storage and now I have somewhere to throw all the 'stuff' and still put my coffee cup down :-)

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I added a cup of clorox to my 16 gal. water tank to "clean" it out - just in case. A yearly chore and not a big project, but it took HOURS. I can fill the tank in about 5 minutes, but it takes at least an hour to drain with the little petcock that came with the system. Was wondering if I need to pull the tank and look for something lurking in there. After dosing the tank it takes a couple of fill/drain cycles to clean out the taste. I'm ready to put in a 2" drain hole!!!
Is this drain time pretty typical??

Scatter, that's about how long mine takes to drain. Patience and time are your friends for that task.

Am I missing something, or why not drain it using the sink? That's what I do -- just turn on the taps, and drain out via my gray water tank. I think it's about 2+ gallons/minute.

Scatter ,
Ditto on what Geoffff posted , I clean ours after every outing . An easier solution is to use 2 capfuls of TastePure from Camco when you fill your tank and if at all possible refill with a TastePure inline filter or the like attached to your hose .

Of course, my suggestion assumes you have a way of dealing with draining your gray water tank at home.

Aluminess Swing Arm Mod

Added the Aluminess rear swing arm support kit. Easy fix for a rattling tire carrier. Took me 30 minutes to do both sides and took out all the play when they are closed. If you have an Aluminess rear and you don't have this kit, I recommended you get it! Thanks to Greggde for the tip.
