Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Two days ago: Replaced the bent-by-PO black water drain valve with a new Valterra unit. I knew it was a thing on the to-do list, but tried to hold off as long as possible for obvious reasons. Then the old one starting finally started leaking...how can I put this?...poo water...after the last tank dumping (and yes, pun completely intended).

Not mechanically difficult, but positively the most disgusting auto repair I have ever done. Neoprene gloves, a dust mask, and safety goggles and Lysol were a must. I wish I had a whole-body condom handy. There were both pluses and minuses to having strong breeze that day.

I purposely waited to shower after I did the job, and then scrubbed until my skin was red.

I won't be posting any pictures of the repair.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Finally labeled all the switches near the driver's knees.
Mounted my outside temp sensor to the spare tire swingout.
Installed Aluminess delrin blocks under the swingarms.
Prepped my Z's awning brackets with POR-15. I'll install them tomorrow.

Thought a lot about cutting the holes for my fender vents but didn't do it yet...

I'm curious what clamps you used to attach your Maxtrax to you ladder?

Maybe something from these guys? http://fourtreks.com/roll_bar.html

Thanks, Joe

What did you do to your SMB today?

After the Kelly Point trip the van did not just have a few pinstripes but a complete matte finish that had me thinking that it might be kinda cool looking with a full matte finish then I realized a detail it is cheaper and now its back to a pretty shine.
