Had Mike at wicked Fab fix a splitting roof issue at the front of the pop top. At each corner in the front van roof it was separating so we had to brace like the new tops. We used a 1/2 by 1 aluminum solid bar that we drilled and taped across the roof.



Then we test fit the Baja box.




Btw I will not be needing the rear ladder once the box is on.

Replaced the swaybar bushings. Man what a difference. I did not realize how worn out they were.

Nice and shiny and no more noises when driving and braking. Now I can get started on getting the floor in so I have a foundation to start with. Well after I replace the serpentine belt. After I got the brakes done I fired up the van to bleed the brakes and had an odd tick sound in the motor. The good news is that the serpentine belt is hammered and has a piece hitting something as it goes around. It looks like it is pretty cramped in there so I am not sure how hard that is going to be.

Re: serpentine belt. It's a challenge the first time you do it, but not too bad once you do it once or twice. I used to have a lot of problems with belt squeal, and was replacing the belt way too often. I switched to a Goodyear/Continental "Gatorback" serpentine belt and it's been great. I highly recommend picking one of those up. If you haven't changed your pulleys and tensioner it's worth doing those at the same time while the belt is off.
