Congrats!

I got my Quigley control arm back on. Those bushings are so hard to remove.

Plus another year and another set of brake pads. So tired of aftermarket pads falling apart. Spent the money for Motorcraft stock E350 pads. Hope they last longer than a year of mtn driving.

Center console repair

When the bought this van, the center console (glove box) was broken and held together with a bungee cord. Awhile back, I affixed a new latch for the center console, 1st with a strong cabinet magnet on the inside, and eye mounts and a carabiner to keep it from flying open. I can't recall needing the eye mounts and a carabiner, as the magnet is pretty strong. Just recently, I added the netted pouch off eBay to store things I don't want flying off the console. Had to heat the plastic and bend it a bit. Had some fun recently on the trails outside Big Bear, CA. Only had 3-4 days, so didn't want to drive too far from home.

Installed Rear Pop Out Windows

Installed rear pop out windows which I purchased from mikracer (Thanks for arranging to send them down with your relatives) using the directions from BrianW (Thanks for the good post). Went smooth as silk.

Worn out steering wheel..

Hey guys . Did a nice quick upgrade on my steering wheel today. the 12 o’clock position on my wheel was all torn up and starting to split open? Don’t know how common that is . I didn’t want one of those janky slip on covers . I found this leather one from Richmond Auto Upholstery for 75 bucks, took about an hour to stitch up . It sure feels nice!

Nice! I’ll be interested to hear how you like it after it wears in a bit. I’ve always felt my steering wheel wasn’t grippy enough. This could be the ticket.

A search for "netted pouch" on eBay will present some unexpected options .

Put a new belt and tensioner on, then on first road trip the A/C went out. Hopefully just clutch and not compressor.

Cleaned it out from the trip to the race track last weekend. Tomorrow will start setting it up for the AZ strip trip.
