Charlie, I think that you will be just fine. My van has a 110v system that is very similar to what you describe and I have the cruise 130 ASU fridge as well. The fridge is only 12v. I'm not even sure why they make fridges in 12v and 110 anyway. Even if I did not have any solar panels I could plug my van in and the charger will keep the house batteries topped off which are in turn running the fridge. I can tell you for sure that you will need more solar panel(s) however. I built my conversion myself so it's different but I also did not want any holes/doors etc on the body outside. My 110v plug in is up under the van. My water tank filler is inside and my propane tank (same location as SMB) is an aluminium tank (made for a sailboat) that is mounted with a quick release system. I just release the tank and take it into the filling store and have it filled up.

It's certainly a worthy thought-experiment. I couldn't get away without all my 110 outlets, but I'm a gadget junky etc.

I wish I had MORE 110 outlets in a few places; hidden behind the passenger side bench, etc for running fans/chargers etc without having them intrude into the living space. I have a hidden 110 behind the driver's side bench that was initially just for the computer monitor I'm using for tv/games/computer, but I also plugged in a little silent fan into that outlet, and I wish I could do the same on the other side. All the cords are hidden and tucked away. On the other side we wanted to add a lighted mirror with weather display over the sink,
(see here for an example)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mirror-Weather-S...QQcmdZViewItem

but we don't have a nice hidden outlet to do it with.

I have one more 110 behind the drivers seat for the xbox and satellite receiver and anything else I want to plug in there.

I also have extra battery capacity to help address my 110 addiction, and plan to add a bunch of solar and/or a generator to my equation when I figure out exactly what my off-grid consumption rates are.

I'm with Buji, I've considered putting an outlet behind the driver's seat on the front counter wall about two feet from the wall outlet on the B column, mainly because I hate reaching behind the seat to plug stuff in, and I'm always plugging and unplugging from this socket for use of items in the swivelled passenger seat.

But I'm all for you deleting the 110. I think some creative solutions can come up so you're not running electric cords through the windows, and I love outside the norm solutions.

I ordered several extra 110V and 12V outlets in my SMB, specifically inside cabinets. They are great for charging / powering items out of sight.
