15" 12volt TV

I'm wanting to get an approx 15-16" flat screen TV that will run on 12volts for my bus. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use?

When I was shopping for a TV at best buy, I noticed that some of the small TVs actually ran off of 12V DC. The included power supply simply converted the household AC to 12V DC. If you are near a best buy, it might be worth seeing what they have. I cut off the TV side of the cable, spliced on more wire and ran it to my house battery fuse box.

Although a little bigger than what you're looking for, I bought the following Insignia 19" Model NS-19E310NA15 for my van but it appears to be discontinued:
Insignia 19" Class (18-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 720p - HDTV Black NS-19E310NA15 - Best Buy

This appears to be the replacement:
Insignia 19" Class (18.5" Diag.) - LED - 720p - HDTV Black NS-19D220NA16 - Best Buy

Keep an eye on the amperage draw of some TV's. Right now I'm just using a DVD player but have been looking at a larger flat screen. Road Trucker deals with a lot of 12v TV's and although a retailer, their opinions are worth a read:

I'd rather have a 12v TV than running my inverter or even a small inverter sized to the TV's load. That just fits better in my situation.

I ended up buying a Sceptre 16" LED TV and a 12v power cord from Amazon. Has a very nice picture. I used a fold-down ceiling mount made by Pyle.

I'd be great if you could post a picture of the TV and the mount...this is a future project on my list. Thanks
