Re: 2007-2008 Econoline Part Number Question?
Its very cool I have never seen a Tonka van thats why I thought it was a model , how old is it?
As you might guess I been into vans for a long time since I ordered my first new one in June of 1976. Back in that big vanning craze of the 70s and 80s all of the big three van builders wanted in on the custom van action. Ford made a few different styles and colors of the "Cruising Vans" they even had "Pinto Cruising Wagons" with the side windows coverd to look like a van and custom paint that matched the big vans from the factory. All of the Cruising Vans had custom paint and the inside had carpet and paneling on the ceiling, walls and floor in the back. They also has swivel seats as an option and two factory port hole windows. Dodge also had custom painted vans with factory interiors like Ford did and theirs were call "Street Vans". GM had four different models of factory custom vans with names like Gypsy, Nomad and ironically Caravan before Dodge used that name on their first mini van. The GM factory vans had more conservative interiors and never offered the port hole windows or custom factory paint like Ford and Dodge did.
Any way thanks again for the part numbers and pictures...
...Jamie
